The K3HS from SODICK’s K Series is a Small Hole Drilling Electrical Discharge Machine built for precision and high volume. It is specifically engineered to drill small holes ranging from 0.010 inch to 0.12 inch (0.25 mm to 3 mm) in diameter with exceptional speed and stability, making it a powerful solution for applications such as creating die plate start holes.

Performance is dramatically improved by the machine’s core technology, the K-SMC Sodick Motion Controller. This advanced servo system activates optimized controls that can boost the cutting speed by up to 200 percent compared to conventional models, while maintaining accurate fine feeding for stable machining.

For enhanced productivity and lights-out operation, the K3HS comes standard with an Automatic Electrode Feeder (AEF), which enables continuous cutting with multiple electrodes. Its flexibility is supported by generous travels: 11.81 inches (300 mm) in X, 15.75 inches (400 mm) in Y, and 11.81 inches (300 mm) in Z. Furthermore, the machine incorporates an Eco-Friendly energy-saving design that can reduce average energy consumption by up to 60 percent. Operators benefit from the standard LN Assist automatic programming system, which features a simplified graphic screen for easy operation and macro functions to handle complex cutting layouts.
