The AL800P is the flagship Wire EDM in the SODICK ALP Series, purpose-built to combine large machining capacity with ultimate precision. At the core of the AL800P is the proprietary 4-Axis Linear Motor Drive System (XYUV). These high-performance flat rigid linear motors, developed and manufactured by Sodick, provide accurate axis movement with zero backlash semi-permanently, a key advantage over conventional ball screw drives.
