The VL600QH is part of Sodick’s advanced VL Series Wire EDM line, engineered for high productivity and exceptional precision, particularly on large-diameter or vertically extended components. It boasts a substantial working envelope with an X-axis travel of 23-62 inches (600 mm), a Y-axis travel of 15-75 inches, and its standout 19-69 inch (500 mm) Z-axis travel. The machine can handle a maximum workpiece weight of 1-874 lbs (850 kg).

The core of the VL600QH’s precision is its proprietary Linear Motor Technology with glass scale feedback on the X, Y, U, and V axes, eliminating backlash and ensuring guaranteed long-term positioning accuracy. It is equipped with a fixed jet High Speed Automatic Wire Threader (AWT), Advanced Tension Servo Control, and durable ceramic components throughout the machine structure.

Control is managed by the user-friendly Heart NC software on an on-board controller with a large 15-1 inch LCD touch screen, allowing for programming of both 2-axis and 4-axis shapes and CAD file imports. In addition to high performance, the VL Series is designed for efficiency, featuring an Energy Saving Circuit that can reduce average energy consumption by up to 60 percent compared to conventional EDM machines.
