The K3HS is a dedicated High-Speed Small Hole Driller EDM machine from Sodick, engineered to function as a robust production machine for manufacturing start holes in die plates and drilling through difficult-to-cut materials. Its core performance enhancement comes from the integration of the K-SMC Sodick Motion Controller, which activates optimized servo control to significantly boost cutting speed by up to 200 percent. The machine supports electrodes ranging from 0-010 inches to 0-12 inches in diameter and offers substantial travel: 11-81 inches in X, 15-75 inches in Y, and 11-81 inches in Z, with an additional 9-06 inches of W-axis travel.
