S-6040

The S-6040 is a highly efficient, high-speed CNC Tapping and Machining Center from ARES SEIKI, engineered with a Dual Pallet system to virtually eliminate downtime associated with workpiece changeovers. This unique design features twin 700 mm by 400 mm rotary worktables and a moving column structure, allowing the operator to load new parts on one pallet while the spindle is actively machining on the other. This parallel operation results in an ultra-quick 5-second Automatic Pallet Change (APC) time, making the S-6040 exceptionally well-suited for high-volume mass production across industries like automotive, 3C electronics, and medical.

The machine’s performance is built on speed and rigidity. It offers a standard 8-000 RPM spindle with 3-000 RPM rigid tapping capacity and is available with optional spindle speeds up to 15-000 RPM. Tool changes are rapid, utilizing a 24-tool capacity with a fast 3.1-second tool-to-tool (T-T) time. Furthermore, the cutting cycle is accelerated by high rapid traverse rates of 36 meters per minute in the X and Y axes, and an impressive 48 meters per minute in the Z-axis. The system is available with motor options from Fanuc, Mitsubishi, or Siemens, all coupled with a Directly Coupled Spindle Drive System for precise control and high power output.
