The Micromag 20 is a dedicated automatic bar feeder from FMB, designed for high-precision, high-volume production on Swiss-type turning centers. This machine boasts a bar diameter capacity from 0-8 mm (.031 inch) up to 20 mm (.787 inch) without bar preparation, or up to 23 mm with preparation, and can handle a maximum bar length of 12 feet 5 inches (3-800 mm). It features an automatic loading magazine with a 9-inch rack capacity.

One of the standout features is the polyurethane guide channel system which uses high-volume oil flow for hydrodynamic support to minimize noise and vibration, ensuring a pristine surface finish on the bar stock. Changeovers are exceptionally fast, taking less than 10 minutes for a full channel set change. The machine includes a patented walking beam bar separation system for reliably loading the smallest bar stock (0-8 mm to 3-0 mm), which conveniently folds away when running larger diameters. Furthermore, the self-centering gripper automatically manages both bar insertion and remnant extraction without needing adjustment for different bar sizes, reducing material waste with a maximum remnant length of 12 inches (320 mm). The system is controlled by Omron motion control, offering a user-friendly interface for dependable operation.
