It is compatible with both fixed headstock and Swiss CNC lathes and can automatically feed round, square, and hexagonal bar stock within a diameter range of 5 mm to 54.5 mm (0.196 inch to 2.145 inch).

Built for dependable and user-friendly operation, the Patriot 551 incorporates a polyurethane guide channel system that utilizes high-volume oil flow to provide hydrodynamic support to the bar, minimizing noise and vibration. Further enhancing stability and allowing for maximized RPM potential are the dual anti-vibration devices that stabilize the bar stock at two critical points—between the guide channel and the lathe spindle.

The machine features a Mitsubishi motion control system with an intuitive touch screen control panel for easy programming and parameter changes, offering 36 part program memory storage for quick changeovers.
