The Turbo 20-100 Bar Feeder expands FMB’s established Turbo Heavy Metal line, offering a sophisticated hydrodynamic 12-foot through 24-foot bar loading magazine feeder solution. This automatic bar feeder is universally compatible with all types of CNC or cam-operated lathes with spindle bores up to 102 mm. Its primary innovation is the hydrodynamic support system, where the bar is constantly supported within an oil-filled guide channel using high-volume oil flow, which effectively dampens noise and vibration while maintaining bar centering for optimum cutting conditions at high rotational speeds.

The system is highly flexible, supporting round, square, or hex bar stock and accommodating a wide range of material sizes from $0.787$ inch up to 4.00 inches in diameter. Changeovers are quick and easy due to the quick-change guide channels and a “Pin-on” collet feature. The feeder utilizes a space-saving double pusher system and a mechanical gripper that handles both the insertion of new bar stock and the automatic remnant retraction. Control is managed by dependable and user-friendly Bosch motion control, featuring a remote pendant for easy parameter changes and 48 part program memory storage. Additional standard features include a super-rigid outboard roller steady rest for bar stock guidance and a separate, floor-mounted electrical cabinet to isolate electronics from machine vibration.
