Unloading through the counter spindle

The “Unloading through the Counter Spindle” feature is a crucial automation component designed for EMCO’s high-performance lathes, specifically compatible with models like the Maxxturn 45 and Maxxturn 65. This clever system solves the challenge of handling long, slender finished parts by utilizing the machine’s counter spindle to eject the workpiece. This method ensures both careful material handling and continuous, lights-out operation by removing a manual step from the production cycle.

Once the finished part is pushed through the counter spindle, the system provides two options for post-processing part storage. For simple applications, the parts can simply roll down an inclined surface. For increased capacity and order, the parts can be efficiently stored in a lateral magazine using a discontinuous belt. This flexibility allows manufacturers to choose the ideal solution for integrating the machine into their automated production flow, thereby maximizing machine uptime and improving overall production efficiency.

Description

This automation solution provides efficient and fully automatic unloading of long, slender workpieces from CNC turning centers. By ejecting the finished part directly through the counter spindle, it streamlines the production process. The system offers flexible part storage through either a simple inclined surface or a discontinuous belt for lateral magazine storage.
