The SIR HEAVY DUTY model range represents the pinnacle of automatic bar feeding technology, exclusively developed to enhance the productivity of Index multi-spindle lathes, including models such as the MS16 plus, MS18/6, MS22/6, MS22/8, MS40/6, MS40/8, and MS52/6. Built on a robust platform, this feeder is designed for heavy-duty performance while maintaining a compact footprint by allowing the recovery of remnant bar without the need for a stock reel, thereby saving significant floor space.

Flexibility is a core feature, demonstrated by the system’s ability to easily load round bars from 4 mm up to 52 mm in diameter and hexagonal bars up to 45 mm, accommodating lengths between 2-500 mm and 4-300 mm. The innovative use of IEMCA’s patent of adjustable bobbins provides maximum flexibility for rapid changeover of bar diameter. Performance is superfast, with bar changeover times as low as 36 seconds and rapid feed and return speeds up to 1.5 m/sec, enabling the feeder to achieve the highest rotation speed necessary for multi-spindle turning. The system is available with a choice of a multi-rack or a large 2-ton bundle magazine and is equipped with a bar end drilling unit.
