The GT 326-E automatic magazine bar feeder from LNS delivers a dependable, cost-effective solution for shops running sliding-headstock lathes and needing to automate feeding of small-diameter bar stock. Its bar diameter capacity covers 3 to 20 mm, with a maximum of 26 mm when bar preparation is applied. It accommodates bar lengths from approximately 990 mm to 3749 mm (roughly 3.25 feet up to 12 feet 3 inches), giving flexibility for a wide range of workpiece sizes.
The GT 326-E features a 10.6 inch deep magazine tray, allowing for substantial stock capacity and enabling long, unattended or “lights-out” production runs. Its guiding system relies on molded polyurethane guide channels — this provides high-quality guidance, effectively reduces noise, and suppresses vibration for stable, high-RPM operation during feeding.
Changeovers are quick and designed to minimize downtime: a partial changeover (within the same guide channel range) can be done in about 2 minutes, while a full changeover (for all guiding elements) takes around 8 minutes. The system uses a servo-driven push mechanism and automatically adjusts pushing torque, feed speed, and feeding length based on the bar stock’s diameter, shape, and length — all that’s needed is input via the user interface, making setup fast and straightforward.
For sliding-headstock machines, the GT 326-E offers optional high-speed headstock synchronization to align the feeder push sequence with the headstock’s motion, preventing bar deformation or vibration even at elevated spindle speeds.
Overall, the GT 326-E combines broad diameter and length compatibility, stable hydrodynamic bar support, compact magazine capacity for small stock, rapid changeovers, and automated parameter adjustment — making it an ideal choice for manufacturing environments focused on efficiency, flexibility, and small-diameter bar production.
