The LNS Tryton 112+ automatic bar feeder continues the legacy of the Tryton line, providing robust, precise, and versatile feeding of small-diameter bars for demanding machining environments. Designed for bar diameters from 1 to 12.7 mm, and bar lengths of 2100, 3200, 3710, or 4200 mm, depending on configuration, it adapts to a wide variety of production needs.
At the core of Tryton’s design is the proprietary HYDROBAR® guiding system — fully enclosed hydrodynamic oil‑supported guide tubes that ensure vibration‑free feeding and extremely high spindle speeds. This system allows even delicate or small-diameter bar stock, including round or profiled bars, to be fed smoothly and accurately — a critical advantage for precision turning, screw machines, and Swiss‑type CNC machines.
The feeder is compatible with both fixed and sliding headstock lathes (or cam‑controlled machines), offering flexibility across setups. The standard barrel magazine accommodates a high number of bars, depending on diameter: for example 45 bars for 1–5 mm stock, 36 for 1–7 mm, 24 for 3–10 mm, and 24 for 4–12.7 mm.
Changeovers are quick and efficient: a partial diameter change (within the same guiding tube set) can be done in about 2 minutes, while a full changeover (when swapping guiding elements/barrel) takes between 5 and 10 minutes — minimizing downtime and keeping production flowing.
For additional flexibility and extended runtime, an optional “hybrid barrel” allows the feeder to support the full diameter range with a single barrel, simplifying setups and reducing tool‑up time.
With its compact, rigid construction, hydraulic feeding and guiding system, and ability to handle long runs of small‑diameter bar stock with precision and reliability, the Tryton 112+ stands out as a go‑to bar feeder for high‑precision, high-volume manufacturing — from micromechanics and medical components to electronics, watchmaking, and general CNC turning.
