The Fryer MB-16Q Toolroom Bed Mill is the largest model in the MB-Q Series, engineered to deliver the ultimate combination of capacity, precision, and operational flexibility for demanding toolroom, job shop, repair, tool & die, and maintenance applications.
This American-made mill is specifically built for handling larger components while maintaining the fast setup and ease of use essential for one-off and short-run parts.
Key Features & Operation
The MB-16Q offers the flexibility of three distinct operating modes:
- Manual Control: Equipped with a 6″ manual quill and manual handwheels for the X and Y axes, allowing operators full tactile control for sensitive machining or manual setup.
- Semi-CNC Mode: Utilizes easy-to-use “Do One” cycles within the CNC control for rapid, menu-driven execution of features like pockets, drilling, and bolt circles.
- Full-CNC Mode: Features the user-friendly Fryer/Siemens CNC Control, which supports both reading standard G & M codes from CAD/CAM systems and simplified conversational programming.
The machine’s rugged, heavy-duty Meehanite casting construction, combined with a 10 HP 4,500 RPM CAT-40 taper spindle, ensures exceptional cutting performance and longevity, while features like one-touch set-up buttons significantly cut down on non-productive time.
