The SHARP M24-50 Series CNC Tool Room Lathe is engineered for machining extra-long and large work pieces with superior precision and power. Its core is a massive one-piece casting machine base that is fully ribbed to prevent distortion, even under heavy cutting conditions. The oversized bedways, available in 24-inch or 32-inch widths, are induction hardened and ground for exceptional accuracy and durability. An additional third bed way provides extra support to the carriage during the heaviest cuts.

Key specifications include an impressive 50-inch swing over the bedways and a swing over the gap of up to 67-32 inches. With center distances ranging from 60 inches to 315 inches, this series accommodates incredibly long shafts and pipes. The headstock offers a wide array of spindle bore options- 6 inches standard, with optional bores of 9 inches, 12 inches, and 15 inches– making it perfect for oil country applications. The spindle itself is constructed from forged, chrome alloy material and supported by three points- one ball bearing and two tapered roller bearings- for ultimate stability. For flexibility, the lathe is equipped with a fully enclosed quick-change gearbox that allows for easy changes of a wide range of inch, metric, MP, and DP threads without exchanging gears. Double chucks are also available for safely holding long, heavy workpieces, and a large hand crank tailstock with optional power drive makes setup convenient.
