The UC-4020 Ultrasonic Machining Center is an advanced 5-axis solution from the UC Series, primarily developed for demanding aerospace honeycomb structure processing. Its core capability lies in its integrated 20k plus-minus 0-3K Hz ultrasonicator frequency, which allows for efficient and clean cutting of composite paper honeycomb with various inclinations using triangle or disc cutters. The machine boasts a massive work envelope with 4-000 mm X-axis travel and 2-000 mm Y-axis travel over a 4-000 mm by 2-000 mm table. To guarantee precise and rapid movement, the design incorporates a lightweight dynamic column structure, precision gears and racks, and European standard precision gear transmission with high-accuracy linear scale feedback on all feeding axes. The high-speed 24-000 RPM HSK-A63 spindle is driven by a 22-25 kW motor. Furthermore, the UC-4020 is designed for oil-free pollution processing of advanced materials, utilizing a full grease lubrication device on the three-axis slide rail and roller-type linear guideways for long-term accuracy. Standard features include a HEIDENHAIN TNC640 controller, a vacuum chuck clamping system to stabilize the workpiece, and a 7-tool automatic tool changer.
