The FA-2623 from the FA Series is a high-performance 5-axis CNC double column machining center specifically designed to handle the rigorous demands of mold cutting, highly precise contour finishing, milling, drilling, and tapping. This bridge-type machine provides a large working envelope, boasting 2,600 mm of travel in the X-axis and 2,300 mm in the Y-axis, with a table dimension of 2,800 mm by 1,600 mm capable of supporting a maximum load of 12,000 kg.

The machine ensures exceptional positioning and dynamic accuracy with a full travel positioning accuracy of plus-minus 0-004 mm and repeatability of plus-minus 0-001 mm. At its heart is a powerful high-speed spindle that reaches 24,000 rpm with an HSK-A63 taper, delivering a continuous power of 25 kW. The FA-2623 is engineered for thermal stability through a specialized spindle and structure thermal compensation system that limits thermal elongation to less than 0-02 mm.

Productivity is maximized with rapid traverse rates of 24 m-min on the X and Y axes and enhanced features like HEIDENHAIN’s Dynamic Collision Monitoring or DCM function. The machine comes standard with a 24-tool magazine, with options available to expand tool capacity to 40.
