The ASM-1012 model, part of the advanced ASM Series, is Vision Wide’s premier 5-axis CNC turning and milling machining center. It is specifically optimized for applications requiring high acceleration and synchronized axes machining, making it ideal for the manufacture of complex cylindrical components such as aerospace parts, tire molds, and turbine blades.

The machine’s robust design incorporates a 5-axis universal head and rotary shafts equipped with D-D direct drive motors. Through advanced topology analysis, the machine achieves the best distance between the tool center point and the B-axis transmission for enhanced performance. The working envelope provides 1,000 mm of X-axis travel, 1,260 mm of Y-axis travel, and 1,050 mm of Z-axis travel over a 1,000 mm diameter table that supports up to a 2,000 kg central load. Its motion system ensures rapid traverse rates of 40 m-min and a high acceleration of 0-3G. Precision is a core feature, boasting a positioning accuracy of plus-minus 0-006 mm and repeatability of plus-minus 0-0055 mm, supported by a thermal compensation system that limits spindle thermal deformation to just 0-02 mm.

Standard control is provided by the reliable HEIDENHAIN TNC 640 Controller, with a powerful 10,000 RPM spindle speed.
