The BM-5035 / BM-5042 belongs to the BM Series of Beam Moving Portal Type Machine Centers, a sophisticated line of double-column-bridge type CNC milling machines built for the precise and heavy-duty machining of large components. Its signature feature is the movable cross rail – W-axis, which can be precisely positioned by a dual synchronized servo motor driving system. This W-axis can feed cut synchronously with the other axes, and its motion is controlled by a rationing hydraulic system to maintain parallelism of the cross rail travel. The structure is reinforced by a double-beam configuration fixed beam for parallelism, and a movable beam for dynamic straightness and sustained cutting power.

The BM-5035 / BM-5042 offers generous working dimensions with an X-axis travel of 5-100 mm and a selectable Y-axis travel of either 3-500 mm or 4-200 mm. The W-axis (movable beam travel) is 1-000 mm as standard, allowing for a maximal workpiece and machining height of 2-400 mm. The table size of 5-000 mm by 3-000 mm can accommodate up to 24-000 kg for the BM-5035 and up to 36-000 kg for the BM-5042 variant. The machine comes standard with a 4-000 RPM, 2-step gear spindle and is designed to accommodate various multi-angle head attachments and an automatic head magazine for full automatic 5-face machining. Standard features include a FANUC 0iMF Plus Controller and a floor-standing 40-tool capacity vertical tool magazine.
