The MS-2620 model is a robust machine from the MS Series of Double Column Milling Machines, specifically designed to handle large components with high precision and heavy cutting capacity. The machine’s core strength comes from its signature Vision Wide rigid structure and advanced axis control. It utilizes a direct-driven X-Y transmission device and an X-axis torque enlarger unit to ensure superior transmission accuracy and precise control over speed. The Z-axis features an advanced balancing system that uses Twin Hydraulic cylinders and a pressured nitrogen accumulator, enabling the machine to achieve a rapid Z-axis acceleration of 0-5G and maintain its position securely during a power failure. Spindle options range from a 6-000 RPM 2-step gearbox way for high torque, to a 12-000 RPM direct-driven linear way spindle for high-speed applications. The machine’s performance is rounded out by a cutting feed rate of up to 10,000 mm/min and rapid traverse rates up to 24 m/min on the X and Y axes.
