The MS-3120 model from the MS Series of Portal Mill Machines is built upon a rigid structure and high precision design for optimal performance. It is engineered with a direct-driven X-Y transmission device and a torque enlarger unit on the X-axis to increase moving accuracy and offer an effective combination control of speed and precision. The generous table measures 3-000 mm by 1-800 mm and supports a maximum load of 10-000 kg. For high-speed operation, the Z-axis utilizes Twin Hydraulic cylinders plus pressured nitrogen accumulator balancing for smooth, accurate feeding, allowing up to 0-5G acceleration and maintaining position at power failure.

The X and Y axes feature heavy-duty roller ways for low friction and high stiffness. The working envelope includes 3-100 mm of X-axis travel and 2-000 mm of Y-axis travel. Standard spindle power is 18-5 kW – 22 kW, and the 2-step gearbox spindle reaches 6-000 RPM. Rapid traverse rates are highly efficient at 24 m-min on the X-axis, 20 m-min on the Y-axis, and 15 m-min on the Z-axis, making the MS-3120 an excellent choice for large-scale precision components.
