The XM-42 is a model within the XM Series of Extremely Mighty Moving Column CNC Milling Machines, tailored for the most demanding machining needs of large-scale precision structural parts across critical sectors such as electric power, energy, wind power, petrochemical, and transportation. This machine provides a massive machining space, with its most notable feature being an expandable X-axis travel from a minimum of 8-200 mm up to a remarkable 60-200 mm, alongside a fixed Y-axis travel of 4-200 mm. The table width is 3-5 meters with an overall length matching the X-axis, capable of sustaining a 5-000 kg-m² max load.

Designed for power and precision, the XM-42 boasts heavy cutting capacity through various high-rated torque spindle options, including a standard 4-000 RPM, 2-step gear spindle, with optional speeds up to 12-000 RPM using a built-in motor. The machine achieves high-precise positioning and geometric accuracy, supported by dual linear scales on the X-axis and a linear scale on the Z-axis. Its advanced functionality includes the capability for fully automatic multi-face machining by integrating various automatic attachment heads for high tangential speed mold surface and complex angle machining, complete with an excellent tool tip point error automatic correction function. The system also offers an optional milling and turning compound multitask capability when equipped with a high-torque, high-speed vertical turning table.
