The XML-42 is a model in the XML Series of Extremely Mighty Machining Centers, specifically developed to meet the demanding requirements for large-scale precision components in sectors such as electric power, wind power, energy, petrochemical, and transportation. This machine operates as a moving column machining center or a travelling double column milling machining center, providing an exceptionally large work envelope. The X-axis travel ranges from 8-200 mm up to 60-200 mm, while the Y-axis travel is 4-200 mm, and the Z-axis travel starts at 1-500 mm, ensuring ample space for huge structural parts.

The XML-42 is engineered for heavy cutting capacity, offering high-rated torque spindles, and is supported by a 22-26 kW standard spindle with a 2-step gear running at 4-000 RPM, with options available up to 12-000 RPM built-in motor. Its core structural design emphasizes high-precise positioning and geometric accuracy, utilizing a Z-axis linear scale and X-axis dual linear scale as standard features. For comprehensive manufacturing capability, the machine can be equipped for fully automatic multi-face machining with various auto attachment heads and features an excellent tool tip point error automatic correction function. Furthermore, it supports an optional milling and turning compound multitasking function when paired with a high-torque, high-speed vertical turning table, making it a highly versatile and powerful solution for complex, large-scale precision machining.
