The XMS-42 is part of the XMS Series of Extremely Mighty Machining Centers, specialized moving column products developed to meet the immense machining needs of structural parts for large-scale precision machinery, wind power, energy, and petrochemical equipment. This machine is defined by its ability to offer a huge workpiece machining space, with an impressive longitudinal X-axis travel ranging from 8-200 mm to 60-200 mm to accommodate virtually any length requirement. The Y-axis travel is substantial at 4-200 mm, and the standard Z-axis travel is 2-000 mm, with options extending to 2-200 mm for exceptional vertical reach.

The XMS-42 guarantees heavy cutting capacity and high-precise positioning through its construction and control systems. The machine features a sizable ram size of 580×580 mm and a maximum workpiece width of 4-600 mm. It can be fitted with a variety of high-rated torque spindles, with a standard 2-step gear spindle running at 4-000 RPM and built-in motor options up to 12-000 RPM. It achieves rapid linear movement with a traverse rate of 20 m-min on the XY-axes and 12 m-min on the Z-axis. Critically, the XMS-42 is designed for fully automatic multi-face machining through compatibility with various automatic attachment heads and an excellent tool tip point error automatic correction function. It also offers the option to be equipped with a vertical turning table to realize milling and turning compound multitask machining.
