The GSA-2232 model is a top machine in the GSA Series-an Angular head Gantry Type Machining Center-specifically developed to offer high accuracy performance in the manufacturing of large molds and complex parts. It operates as a 3+2 axis machine by integrating the unique IAC-Indexing Attached head, which is a 2-axis indexing head with 1 degree auto indexing on both the B and C axes, effectively providing 5-axis accuracy performance. This system is optimized for composite angle machining, shortening tool travel and extending tool life for milling, drilling, and tapping operations. The machine’s structural foundation is a one-piece structural design, ensuring excellent dynamic performance and stability. The GSA-2232 boasts impressive travel of 2-200 mm in the X-axis and 3-200 mm in the Y-axis, with a table size of 2-200 mm by 3-200 mm and a maximum table load of 3-000 kg per square meter. Power is delivered by a high-output spindle with 15-000 RPM and a substantial continuous-30 minute rating of 50 kW – 65 kW. The head features a high tool clamping force of 20 kN. Rapid traverse speeds reach 32 m-min on the X and Y axes and 20 m-min on the Z-axis, enabling high-speed machining with a cutting feed rate of up to 20-000 mm-min. It comes standard with the HEIDENHAIN TNC640 controller, making the GSA-2232 an ideal choice for highly precise contour finishing and severe mold-making demands.
