The GSA-3027 is a specialized model within the GSA Series of Angular head Gantry Type Machining Centers, offering robust 3 plus 2 axis capability for complex workpieces. This gantry mill is designed to deliver high-accuracy performance across key applications, including mold cutting, highly precise contour finishing, milling, drilling, and tapping. Its strength is derived from an excellent dynamic performance on a one-piece structural design that ensures stability across its large working envelope.

The core of the machine’s versatility is the IAC-Indexing Attached head, a 2-axis head that achieves 5-axis accuracy by providing auto indexing in 1-degree increments on both the B and C axes. This mechanism is crucial for composite angle machining, as it shortens tool displacement travel and the overall cutting process, extending tool life. Powering this head is a formidable 50 kW – 65 kW spindle capable of reaching 15-000 RPM, with a high tool clamping force of 20kN. The machine’s large working capacity is evident in its X-axis travel of 3-000 mm and Y-axis travel of 2-700 mm. Motion control is exceptionally fast, with rapid traverse rates reaching 32 m-min on the X and Y axes and 20 m-min on the Z-axis. The GSA-3027 comes standard with a HEIDENHAIN TNC640 controller and includes a thermal compensation system for consistent, high-precision results.
