The GSA-5027 is a key model in the GSA Series, a line of Angular head Gantry Type Machining Centers designed to achieve 5-axis accuracy performance using a rigid 3-axis platform combined with a high-precision indexing head. This machine provides high-accuracy performance for demanding applications such as mold cutting, highly precise contour finishing, milling, drilling, and tapping. Its defining feature is the IAC-Indexing Attached head, a 2-axis head that shortens tool displacement and cutting processes for improved efficiency and extended tool life, making it the best choice for composite angle machining.

The head boasts an impressive 15-000 RPM spindle speed and an S1-S6 spindle power of 50 kW – 65 kW. The head’s auto-indexing function provides high-precision positioning of 1 degree on the B and C axes. The GSA-5027 is built on an excellent one-piece structural design for superior dynamic stability. It offers an expansive work envelope, with an X-axis travel of 5-000 mm and a Y-axis travel of 2-700 mm. Dynamic performance is assured by high, rapid traverse rates of 32 m-min on the X and Y axes and a maximal cutting feed rate of 20-000 mm-min. Standard features include a HEIDENHAIN TNC640 controller and a comprehensive spindle and structure temperature thermal compensation system to ensure long-term accuracy and stability.
