The LB321 Double Column Bridge Machine is engineered for power, endurance, and accuracy when machining large and complex workpieces across materials, including ferrous, non-ferrous, and high-temperature alloys. The machine’s fixed rail configuration and core construction with a Meehanite cast iron base provide the necessary damping and stiffness to excel in the heaviest of cutting applications.

The generous work surface features a 118-inch x 78-7-inch table capable of supporting a substantial maximum table load of 26,450 lbs (12,000 kg). The machine offers extensive travel, including 120-5 inches in the X-axis and 84-6 inches in the Y-axis. The standard Z-axis travel of 31-5 inches (800 mm) can be optionally extended significantly up to 55-1 inches (1,400 mm) to accommodate tall parts.

At the heart of the LB321 is a powerful CAT50 geared-head spindle that operates at 6,000 RPM, designed to deliver maximum torque for heavy-duty metal removal. Precision is maintained via a hydraulic counterbalance system on the headstock and high positioning accuracy, with a linear position accuracy of plus-minus 0-0006 inch full travel and linear repeatability of plus-minus 0-0001 inch. For added versatility, the LB321YM model features extended Y-axis travel and the crucial capability for five-face machining using various optional headstocks like 30-degree, 90-degree, and manual universal heads, complete with automatic clamping and automatic tool changes in both vertical and horizontal orientations. The machine comes standard with a 32-tool storage capacity and rapid feed rates reaching up to 945 inches per minute.
