Its formidable construction is anchored by a solid Meehanite cast iron base, ensuring maximum stability and vibration dampening for superior surface finishes and tool life.

The machine provides an exceptional work zone, featuring a substantial 157-4 inch x 94-5 inch table that supports an impressive 33,000 lb (15,000 kg) maximum table load. Its travel capabilities include a long 159-8 inch X-axis travel (4,060 mm) and an extended 100-4 inch Y-axis travel (2,550 mm), making it suitable for oversized components. The standard 31-5 inch Z-axis travel can be optionally extended up to 55-1 inches (1,400 mm) for increased height capacity.

The LB425 is equipped with a powerful CAT50 geared-head spindle that achieves 6,000 RPM, designed to maximize torque for deep, heavy cuts in challenging materials. Precision is maintained by a hydraulic counterbalance system on the headstock and guaranteed accuracy with a Linear Repeatability of plus-minus 0-0001 inch (0-003 mm). Productivity is enhanced by rapid feed rates of 787 inches per minute (20 m-min) on all axes and a 32-tool capacity magazine. Furthermore, the LB425 offers superior versatility through optional headstock configurations, including 30-degree, 90-degree, extension, and manual universal heads, enabling five-face and right-angle machining capabilities.
