The LB533 is a premier Double Column Fixed Rail Bridge Machine from the LB series, engineered for extreme heavy cutting and large component machining. Its superior structural integrity is guaranteed by a Meehanite cast iron base, which anchors the fixed rail design, minimizing vibration and deflection even during the heaviest cuts. Precision is further enhanced by a hydraulic counterbalance system on the headstock.

This machine offers a truly massive work area, featuring a 196-8 inch x 94-5 inch table capable of supporting an impressive 39,600 lb (18,000 kg) maximum table load. Its travel dimensions are expansive, including 199-2 inches of X-axis travel (5,060 mm) and 131-9 inches of Y-axis travel (3,350 mm) in the standard configuration. The -YM Configuration can extend the Y-axis travel up to 157-4 inches (4,000 mm) for comprehensive five-face machining capabilities using optional angle heads. The Z-axis travel is 31-5 inches standard, with options to extend up to 55-1 inches (1,400 mm).

Power is delivered by a robust CAT50 geared-head spindle. For ferrous materials, a 5,000 RPM- 40 HP-35 HP gearbox delivers exceptional power and up to 1,115 ft-lb of torque. For high-speed applications on non-ferrous materials, high-speed integral motor spindles are available with speeds reaching 20,000 RPM. All axes operate with a quick 590 inches per minute rapid feed rate, supported by a 32-tool standard storage capacity (with options up to 120 tools). It maintains exceptional accuracy with a linear position accuracy of plus-minus 0-0006 inch across its full travel.
