The LB625 is a flagship Double Column Fixed Rail Bridge Machine from the LB Series, designed for companies that specialize in machining exceptionally large, heavy components that demand both power and precision. The machine’s foundation is a Meehanite cast iron base, ensuring maximum stability and vibration dampening for the heaviest of cuts across materials, including ferrous, non-ferrous, and high-temperature alloys.

The machine’s impressive working area is defined by a massive 236-2 inch x 94-5 inch table with a substantial load capacity of 44,000 lbs (20,000 kg). The travel distances are immense, offering 238-5 inches in the X-axis (6,060 mm), and a standard 100-4 inches in the Y-axis (2,550 mm). The optional -YM configuration extends the Y-axis travel to 125-9 inches to facilitate five-face machining capabilities on complex workpieces. The Z-axis is highly adaptable, starting at 31-5 inches and offering options up to 55-1 inches (1,400 mm).

Power is delivered through a robust spindle system. For high-torque machining of steel, a CAT50 gearbox option provides up to 1,115 ft-lb of torque at 5,000 RPM. High-speed options are also available, reaching up to 20,000 RPM for non-ferrous materials. Precision is maintained across this huge work envelope, with a linear position accuracy of plus-minus 0-0006 inch full travel and a linear repeatability of plus-minus 0-0001 inch. The machine features a hydraulic counterbalance system on the headstock, enabling smooth, accurate movement, and comes standard with a 32-tool capacity (optional up to 120 tools).
