The MG1040 is a universal, Moving Gantry Machine built for precision machining of extremely large components in ultra-heavy applications. This machine delivers both speed and accuracy through its design, which incorporates high-quality roller guides on the axes and twin linear scales to ensure exceptional positioning accuracy across its massive working area.

The stationary table has dimensions of 393-7 inches x 149-6 inches (10,000 mm x 3,800 mm), allowing for the placement of huge workpieces. The gantry structure provides an extraordinary working volume, with an X-axis travel of 393-7 inches (10,000 mm) and a Y-axis travel of 157-5 inches (4,000 mm). The Z-axis offers a standard 39-4 inches of travel (1,000 mm), with options extending up to 55-2 inches. The maximum table load capacity is rated at 1,680 lb per square foot.

To handle various machining demands, the MG1040 is available with multiple spindle configurations. For high-power metal removal in ferrous applications, a CAT50 geared spindle can deliver up to 1,115 ft-lb of torque at 5,000 RPM. High-speed options are available, reaching up to 20,000 RPM with an HSK63 integral motor spindle. The gantry design is complemented by an ergonomic structure for ease of operation. Furthermore, the machine can be equipped with various optional heads- like 30-degree, 90-degree, and extension heads- to provide comprehensive five-face machining capabilities.
