The MG630 is a universal, moving gantry machining center from the MG Series, specifically designed to handle ultra-heavy components with exceptional dimensional accuracy. Its unique moving gantry design allows for flexible machining of parts across its large, fixed work area of 236-2 inch x 110-2 inch, which can support a maximum distributed load of 1-680 lbs per square foot.

This machine delivers high precision through features like twin linear scales on its axes for superior positioning feedback and hardened roller guides for fast yet stable movement. The generous axis travels- up to 236-2 inches in X and 118 inches in Y– making it suitable for aerospace, energy, and large mold base industries. Z-axis travel is a standard 39-4 inches, with optional extensions up to 55-2 inches available.

The MG630 offers a wide range of spindle capabilities. For demanding ferrous and high-temp alloy cutting, a powerful 5-000 RPM geared spindle delivers impressive torque up to 1-115 ft-lb. For non-ferrous materials, high-speed spindles are available with speeds reaching 20-000 RPM. The machine is highly versatile, capable of five-axis machining when configured with optional head attachments. Its high accuracy is guaranteed by a linear repeatability of plus-minus 0-0004 inch.
