The RB312 is a robust Double Column Bridge Machining Center from the RB Series, specifically engineered to provide power and endurance for heavy jobs that demand high accuracy and productivity across various material types. This heavy-duty, fixed-rail bridge machine is characterized by its high rigidity and reliable componentry.

The machine features a large work surface with an 118 inch x 43-3 inch table and an impressive X-axis travel of 120-5 inches (3,060 mm), Y-axis travel of 47-2 inches (1,200 mm), and Z-axis travel of 31-5 inches (800 mm). The structure incorporates roller guides on its axes, which provide a foundation for high rigidity and stability during aggressive machining. The headstock is equipped with a Nitrogen counter balancer to ensure smooth and precise vertical movement.

For machining ferrous and high-temperature alloys, the standard setup includes a CAT50 two-speed, geared spindle capable of 6,000 RPM and generating significant torque of 388 ft-lb (526 Nm) with 25 HP (18-5 kW). For non-ferrous materials, high-speed options are available, reaching up to 20,000 RPM with 50 HP (37 kW) for aluminum, and an optional 12,000 RPM spindle for high-temp alloys. The high-performance nature of the machine is further supported by a rapid feedrate of 945 inches per minute (24 m-min) across the X, Y, and Z axes. The RB312 ensures extremely precise finishing, boasting a linear position accuracy of plus-minus 0-0006 inches (0-015 mm) full travel and linear repeatability of plus-minus 0-0001 inches (0-003 mm).
