Control is managed by the ASDIII digital control system, which offers a simple and clear touch control panel for easy operation and programmable grinding. Operators can set the vertical zero point, finish grinding volume target point, and the grinding wheel rise-up point. Vertical feed is managed by dual motors: an AC motor for rapid up and down movement and a stepping motor for precise micro downfeed positioning.
Cross transverse travel is accurately controlled by a DC servo motor with a ballscrew, enabling both step feed and continuous infeed grinding. To ensure long-term accuracy and minimize wear, the saddle rides on precision hand-scraped double V ways, and the table utilizes hand-scraped V and flat ways coated with TURCITE B.
