The advanced and user-friendly control system utilizes a Delta PLC with a 72-inch color touch screen, featuring a conversational program language for easy setup and Programmable up-down head Positioning.
The grinding power is delivered by a 75 HP spindle drive motor running at 1750 RPM. The large-diameter spindle is supported by four preloaded precision angular contact ball bearings and one NU-type roller bearing, ensuring durable and highly accurate grinding performance. Table and cross movements are fully automated, utilizing a hydraulic-driven longitudinal movement with Pre-settable speed control and a DC motorized servo crossfeed with ballscrew.
For long-term precision and minimal wear, the table slides on precision hand-scraped V and Flat ways coated with Turcite B, supported by an Auto Lubrication System. The grinder provides a maximum height of 248 inches from the table surface to the spindle centerline and a fine Vertical Automatic Infeed range from 00005 to 0025 inches.
