The machine is constructed from high-grade cast iron with heavy walls and reinforced honeycomb ribbing to provide exceptional rigidity and dampening. Stability is further enhanced by an enlarged column and base. The grinding performance is driven by a 3 HP motor that powers a large-diameter spindle at 3450 RPM. The spindle is designed for durable heavy-duty operation, supported by four preloaded precision angular contact ball bearings and one NU type roller bearing.

The longitudinal table movement is hydraulic-driven, offering an infinitely variable speed range of 196 to 984 inches per minute. The crossfeed movement is AC Motorized with a Ballscrew and is servo motor-driven. For protection and smooth operation, the table rests on precision hand-scraped V and Flat ways coated with Turcite B, while the saddle uses hand-scraped double V-ways. An Auto Lubrication System ensures excellent wear resistance.

Standard features include a Built-in Proximity Switch for easy operation, a Micro Down Feed system, a Chuck Controller with De-Mag, a Table Mounted Diamond Dresser with diamond, a Grinding Wheel, a Wheel Flange, a Balancing Stand with Arbor, Leveling Screws with Blocks, and a Splash Guard. The machine is wired for 230 or 460 volts, 3-phase.
