Flint Machine Tools

TERA 60V

The TERA 60V is a premier 3-axis Vertical Machining Center designed as the strongest platform in the MICRO DYNAMICS TERA series. It is engineered to deliver high-quality and powerful machining for sectors including dies and molds, aerospace, automotive, semiconductor, and job shops. The machine boasts a robust FC300 Meehanite casting with a ribbed structure optimized via FEA analysis, guaranteeing exceptional machining stability. Its large 67.9-inch by 27.6-inch table can handle a maximum load of 4,409 lb.

Performance is driven by a standard 15,000 rpm built-in spindle (40 Taper Dual Contact) that provides 41 hp and 104 ft-lbf of max cutting torque, with options to upgrade to 18,000 or 20,000 rpm. Speed is maximized by rapid feed rates of 2,047 ipm in the X and Y axes, significantly reducing non-cutting time. Precision is maintained by the advanced DYPEC Dynamic Predictive Error Compensation system, which actively corrects thermal position errors to ensure high accuracy (with a repeatability of pm 0.0001 inch). Further enhancing efficiency is the high-speed Automatic Tool Changer with a tool-to-tool change time of only 1.2 seconds, standard 40-tool capacity, and optional expansions up to 120 tools. The entire powerful machine is housed within a highly space-efficient design, featuring a minimal footprint of 170.2 inches by 97.6 inches.
