The MEGA 30VT is a high-performance model in the MICRO DYNAMICS VAPC series, specifically designed as a Vertical Trunnion machine for advanced 4+1 axis applications, with an optional upgrade to true five-axis simultaneous machining. This machine boasts generous travels of 30 inches (X), 20 inches (Y), and 17.4 inches (Z), making it versatile for a range of components. The core of its multi-axis capability is the rugged trunnion table, which provides a tilting axis motion range of 40º -120º and a full 360 ºrotary C-axis.

Precision and speed are ensured by the use of a Roller Gear Cam Mechanism instead of traditional worm gears for the trunnion, offering enhanced rigidity, repeatability, and zero-backlash performance. The machine is powered by a 15,000 rpm Built-in Spindle (40 Taper) with 41 hp, delivering 104 ft-lb of max cutting torque. Non-cutting time is drastically reduced by rapid feed rates up to 1,889 ipm and a high-speed Automatic Tool Changer (ATC) with a 1.2-second tool-to-tool change time. Further enhancing accuracy is the proprietary DYPEC Dynamic Predictive Error Compensation system, which actively corrects thermal position error.
