Mecmill

The Universal Machining Centre Mecmill from EMCO is engineered for the demanding and precise machining of large and complex components. Its structural foundation is a highly rigid cross-axis and moving column in a “box-in-box” design, which contributes to its high dynamics and precision. The machine boasts an extensive work area with travel in X up to 6000 mm and more, Y at 1600 mm, and Z up to 4000 mm, all moving at rapid speeds of 30 m/min.

The Mecmill is highly adaptable through its selection of milling heads- offering both 3 plus 2 axes up to 38 kW and 1000 Nm of torque, or continuous 5-axis heads up to 45 kW and 12-000 rpm. This versatility enables a wide range of operations from drilling and milling to light turning. The machine’s advanced features include the innovative WONDER B-R-A (BALANCING RAM ASSET) system- an automatic electromechanical device that counterbalances the ram drop to improve geometric accuracy and straightness. For uninterrupted productivity, the Mecmill can be fitted with an automatic tool changer of up to 120 pockets or a tower tool changer up to 203 pockets, and an optional full automatic head changing system. The Mecmill can also be configured as a pair of Master and Slave machines with anti-collision software for cooperative machining of monolithic workpieces.
