The core of the HMC500’s performance is its high-speed spindle system. It is equipped with a 30 HP, 15,000 RPM built-in motor spindle that can accelerate from 0 to full speed in just 3.3 seconds, making it exceptionally effective for high-speed machining (HSM) across various materials, including ferrous, non-ferrous, and high-temp alloys. The rapid feed rates across the X, Y, and Z axes are an impressive 2,362 ipm (60 m/min).
