The FBL-540 MC is a heavy-duty horizontal turning lathe manufactured by Chevalier Machinery, Inc. It features a 45-degree slant-bed structure with a low center of gravity, providing easy access and efficient workpiece changeovers. The machine incorporates a torque tube design that enhances structural integrity and vibration damping, while ribbed Meehanite® casting offers strong support and reduces deflection and vibration during heavy machining.  It is equipped with a spindle motor of up to 60 horsepower, capable of handling a wide range of cutting conditions. The FBL-540 MC model includes live tooling functionality, enabling milling and turning operations in a single setup, which increases machining flexibility and efficiency.
