The MAXXTURN 200 is a leading model within EMCO’s diverse portfolio of turning machines, offering a professional solution for the most demanding turning, drilling, and milling operations on large industrial components. Its foundation is a solid machine design optimized for heavy-duty cutting, ensuring maximum machining accuracy and long-term reliability. The machine’s work area boasts a maximum turning diameter of 1000 mm and the ability to accommodate workpieces up to 6 tons in weight, with distances between centers of up to 6200 mm in its longest configuration.
The turning center is designed for maximum productivity through comprehensive multi-tasking capabilities. Standard equipment includes optional main and counter spindles for complete front and back side machining in a single setup. It can be fitted with one or two tool turrets– each holding 12 driven tools (VDI 60 or BMT85 size) with up to 19.8 kW of power, enabling flexible turning, drilling, and milling. A key highlight is the stable Y-axis with a generous travel of 125 mm, providing superior flexibility for off-center machining. Control is managed via a state-of-the-art dialog-supported Siemens control system, enhanced by EMCONNECT- the Digital Process Assistent (on the 840D SL control), which assists operators in optimizing the machining process.
