The LS-1000 L20 is a large, super-duty boxway lathe from the JTEKT Takisawa LS-1000 Series, specifically designed for high-torque and high-speed turning of demanding, sizable parts. The machine’s construction features extra heavy-duty Box guideways for maximum stability, rigidity, and superior vibration dampening during aggressive machining, ensuring accurate surface finish and long-term geometric precision. Its powerful spindle is driven by a fine-ground precision gearbox, allowing it to maintain a high level of cutting torque across the speed range up to 1,200 RPM, with 50 HP available for 30 minutes (40 HP continuous).

The LS-1000 L20 offers extensive work capacity, including a maximum workpiece swing of 40.1 inches (1,020 mm), a maximum turning diameter of 35.4 inches (900 mm), and a long turning length of 83.9 inches (2,131 mm), making it ideal for large shafts and components.
