The Midaco AS2716SD Dual Pallet Changer with Aluminum Pallets is a high-efficiency solution engineered to maximize spindle run-time and production throughput for vertical machining centers. The AS2716SD package includes two lightweight, yet durable, 27 inch by 15 inch (685-8 mm by 381 mm) cast aluminum pallets designed for end-loading onto the machine table. Each pallet is engineered to handle a substantial workload with a 500 lb (227 kg) capacity (when weight is evenly distributed). Pallet exchange is handled by a robust Series 16 End Load Shuttle unit, which is equipped with an automatic door to maintain machine enclosure integrity and a clear indicator lamp for operational status. The system also features a precise pneumatic receiver with air blast to ensure accurate seating and debris-free mating of the pallet to the machine table, guaranteeing repetitive positioning and cut quality.
