The A6040SDCI is Midaco’s robust, high-capacity Dual Pallet Changer solution for Vertical Machining Centers (VMCs) that require maximum efficiency and substantial load handling. This model is an End Load Pallet Changer, meaning the shuttle unit is situated at the side of the machine, minimizing required floorspace for material handling.

It comes standard with two massive 60 inch by 39 inch by 1-5 inch (1-524 mm by 990 mm by 38-1 mm) cast iron pallets, which are ideal for dampening vibration, holding heavy fixtures, and ensuring precision during machining. The system is rated for a substantial maximum load of 4-000 lbs (1-816 kg) when the weight is evenly distributed across the pallet.

The core of the system is the Series 52A Pneumatic Receiver, which features a built-in air blast to ensure chips are cleared before the pallet is clamped into the machine, guaranteeing high repeatability and component accuracy. Included is the Series 60 End Load Shuttle unit, complete with an Automatic Door and an indicator lamp, which facilitates rapid pallet exchanges so operators can safely set up the next job while the machine is running, thereby achieving near 100 percent spindle utilization.
