The Midaco A12050SD Y-Axis Shift Pallet Changer is a substantial automatic system engineered for large Vertical Machining Centers (VMCs) that require maximum work envelope utilization and heavy load capacity. This model is designed to virtually eliminate machine downtime for part loading and unloading, offering a significant increase in production efficiency.

The system includes two 120 inch by 50 inch by 2-5 inch end load cast aluminum pallets, which are lightweight yet sturdy and ideal for large fixtures or multiple small parts. Each pallet is secured by a Series 52A pneumatic receiver boasting a total capacity of 8-000 lb (3-632 kg) per pallet, ensuring stable and repeatable positioning. The integrated air blast keeps the receiver clean for maximum accuracy.

A key feature is the Y-Axis Shift Shuttle unit, which moves the external shuttle parallel to the machine’s Y-axis to give the operator full spindle access and prevent interference with the table during machining.
