The MIDACO A4020SDR4 Pallet Pool is a robust and sophisticated automation solution built to significantly enhance the productivity and efficiency of any Vertical Machining Center. This comprehensive system is designed to virtually eliminate spindle downtime by allowing operators to efficiently set up or break down jobs offline while the machine continues cutting. The system includes four 40-inch x 19-inch by 1-5 inch (1-060 mm x 482-6 mm x 38-1 mm) end load cast aluminum pallets, providing ample work surface for large or complex parts.

At its core, the system features a Series 30A pneumatic receiver capable of handling a substantial 1-000 lb (454 kg) load (evenly distributed), ensuring reliable and secure pallet locking during the machining process. The Series 40R End Load Shuttle unit manages the transfers and includes an automatic door for safe and fully contained operation. Safety is ensured through shuttle guarding utilizing a light emitter, mirrors, and sensors, which on newer models includes a 3-sided light curtain. Control of the entire system is seamless, as the control panel is fully integrated with the VMC via M-codes, enabling immediate communication and operation without complex external programming. The A4020SDR4 transforms a standard VMC into a high-volume, non-stop production center.
