The Robot-Cobot Ready Mount is a dedicated automation solution from MIDACO, engineered to seamlessly integrate robotic technology with their A50SD Series Automatic Pallet Changers. This package provides the structural modification—specifically a customized modification of the control panel cabinet and the shuttle structure—required to securely mount a robot or collaborative robot (cobot) arm. By enabling the robot to mount directly onto the pallet changer’s shuttle, it gains optimal access to parts staged on adjacent tables or conveyors.

The primary function of this mount is to eliminate the need for manual operator intervention in repetitive part loading and unloading tasks, thereby allowing for extended periods of unattended machining. This enhancement not only increases machine throughput but also contributes to reduced operator strain and fatigue. The system ensures that parts are handled with high precision and reliability throughout every cycle. Customers utilizing a DUAL Pallet Changer system will require two of these mounting packages. For maximum automation, this system can be perfectly paired with a Hydraulic Docking System to automate fixture and vise clamping. Please note that the robot or cobot arm itself must be purchased separately, and MIDACO requires the robot’s specifications prior to processing the customized order.
