The “Robot/Cobot Ready” Mount provides a customized modification of the control panel cabinet of the A40SD Pallet Changer, establishing the necessary structure and integration point for a third-party robot or cobot arm. This enables the robotic arm to seamlessly load and unload parts, facilitating hours of unattended machining.

Crucially, the package includes the A40SDLC Light Curtain Package. This safety component provides 3-sided guarding using a precise arrangement of light emitters, mirrors, and sensors. This sophisticated system creates an invisible safety field around the pallet shuttle. The Light Curtain acts as a critical safeguard, designed to immediately halt a pallet change if the light beams surrounding the system are breached, protecting operators and equipment. This package is key to safe, high-volume automation. Note that two packages are required when installing on a dual pallet changer system, and this product is not compatible with the Chip Shield option.
