The LA-200 is the base model in the LA Series of compact Horizontal Boxway Lathes designed to achieve maximum production and flexibility for high-torque- high-speed turning applications at an exceptional value. Its foundation is built upon highly rigid Box Guideways on the X and Z axes- ensuring sustained accuracy, stability, and superior performance during heavy cutting. The standard LA-200 offers robust turning capacity- accommodating a maximum workpiece swing of 18 point 5 inches, a maximum turning diameter of 12 point 6 inches, and a turning length of 11 point 8 inches.

Power is supplied by a gear-driven spindle that delivers 15 HP (11 kW) for 15 minutes of operation and maintains 10 HP (7 point 5 kW) continuously, reaching a top speed of 4000 RPM. The machine includes 2 axes plus a C-axis for enhanced control. The LA-200 is part of a modulized structure with variants available to meet specific needs- including the LA-200L with an extended bed- and the LA-200M and LA-200ML versions, which incorporate optional live tooling for versatile milling capabilities- allowing for complex turn-mill operations in a single setup.
